Void Art Gallery is an ambitious contemporary art space. It’s situated within the Old City Shirt Factory of Derry and consists of three gallery spaces and a process room.

Void was launched in 2005 by a group of Derry Artists, known as Derry Artists for Derry’s Art (DADA). Their mission was to launch a gallery and create an exhibition programme that would:

‘Present the contemporary visual arts and support Artists, through a programme of exhibitions, learning and outreach activities, with a national and international perspective.’
 Void Art Gallery Mission Statement

Since its opening in 2005 Void Art Gallery has gained a renowned international reputation as a pioneering gallery and cultural organisation that curates with a diverse range of established International and Irish Artists. They showcase their work through thought provoking and challenging exhibitions, up to six times a year.

Void Engage Programme

The ethos at the centre of all of Voids work is ‘Access and Participation’ by making contemporary art accessible to a wide variety of audiences and engaging with visitors of all ages in such a way that encourages a greater understanding and appreciation of Contemporary Art. The Void Engage programme is inspired by current exhibitions and delivered through a variety of workshops, artists talks, exhibition opening nights, film screenings and other events that occur within the gallery and in offsite locations.
