Fiorentini’s is a lively Italian cafe and ice-cream parlor with an excellent reputation. It has been operating in the city since 1912 and still remains in the hands of the same family. A good general

mixed menu includes burgers, hot-dogs, omelets, toasted sandwiches and rolls, though the delicious fish and . . .

. . . chips has long been the house favorite. Also noted for its Italian-style ice-cream, over 20 sundaes and milkshakes are listed on the wall. There is plenty of seating in both the main front area and in the back. The cafe has a quiet atmosphere (no TV or noisy radio blaring). Instead, you will hear the more natural sound of local people chatting to the owner and catching up on the day’s news. All in all, not just a good place for food, but a flashback to better days.

. . . “stopping point”, and is a reflection of life in Italy and how when it comes to food. The essence of the Italian way of living has been incorporated into every detail of this charming and sophisticated restaurant. The menu is creative and distinct while Claudio’s love of wine and flavour combinations is reflected in his passionately chosen wine list.  The interiors are warm and intimate and provide for a comfortable, memorable dining experience.
