In December 2016, Santa will sprinkle fairy dust over the Guildhall to allow the good children of Derry & Strabane to visit a gateway into Elfwood Forest … AKA the Mayors Parlour/ Whittaker Suite Guildhall.

For a wondrous two weekends, they can walk into a world where only magic exists – the children will walk around reindeer road and take a stop at the ice camp fire. A place where Santa looks into the imagination of his elves, and as each thought comes, they float like bubbles around Elfwood.

As the children arrive at the forest gates, they are greeted by Ellie the Elf. He will tell them stories of Elfwood and get them to help him wake Santa. It’s too close to Christmas and Santa has been sleeping since July. Last year’s Christmas took such a toll on him as there were so many kids on his naughty list. With an immersive and beautiful sound, set and lighting design, the Whitaker Suite will be transformed into Elfwood Forest. The imagination will alight with the sounds of the forest from such animals as the Snuffleplops, the Pixielotts and the Ginormous Wrecks.
